Allen Robinson’s future with the Chicago Bears may be very unsure. While the workforce might franchise tag him for the 2021 marketing campaign, the 27-year-old prefers to be locked as much as a longer-term deal.
However, it does not sound like there was a lot progress towards Robinson hanging a take care of the Bears. The Pro Bowl extensive receiver stated the franchise has not supplied him a deal he believes he’s price, in line with Go Long with Tyler Dunne.
“My personal opinion, if something could possibly work? Yes,” Robinson stated. “I’m not opposed to being back in Chicago by any means. I’ve even expressed that over the last couple of years — wanting to be the all-time leading receiver in Chicago which, I believe, I’m under 2,000 yards away from that. With all that being said, unfortunately we’ve come to what seems to be a fork in the road. But not even a fork. We haven’t even been given a viable option to be able to do those things that we want to do without sacrificing a ridiculous amount pretty much for the rest of my career.”
According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, the Bears might franchise tag after which commerce Robinson, which he’s open to. It’s unclear which groups may be taken with both buying and selling for or signing him.
In three seasons with the Bears, the Penn State product has 255 catches for 3,151 yards and 17 touchdowns. He has two of his 1,000-plus yard seasons in Chicago.
