2 civilians injured in Pulwama grenade attack – Kashmir Reader

Anantnag: At least two civilians, one in all them a non-native have been injured in an explosion attributable to a hand grenade, hurled at authorities forces by militants right here in the primary city of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

The injured have been recognized as Jitendar Kumar, a resident of Bihar, and Azhar Khurshid, a resident of Dalipora village in Pulwama district. They have been rushed to the close by Pulwama district hospital and are acknowledged to be in steady situation.

“They had splinter injuries and were treated here at the hospital,” a health care provider on the hospital informed Kashmir Reader.

The incident came about at about 12:40 PM Tuesday afternoon in Rajpora Chowk of the primary city space. “The militants had targeted a vehicle of security forces patrolling the area. The grenade missed the intended target and exploded along the roadside,” a police official from the realm mentioned.

He mentioned that two civilians have been injured in the explosion and have been rushed to the hospital.

The explosion created panic in the market as individuals ran for canopy. Following the incident, an enormous cache of presidency forces reached the realm, in a bid to attempt to nab the attackers, who had managed to flee by then.

The police have registered a case in this regard and investigation has been taken up.
