A YOUNG girl has been left shaken after a van driver stopped his automotive and asked her to ‘get in’.
Now the 24-year-old girl is urging folks to be further vigilant.
The suspicious incident passed off on Radcliffe Road, Darcy Lever, yesterday at round 11am, when the 24-year-old was ready for her driving teacher along with the street.
The incident has been reported to a ward councillor and police.
The girl, who has asked not be named mentioned: “He stopped and asked me the time and then asked me to get in and opened the door.
“He didn’t follow me. I just wanted to raised awareness of it because if it had been a child it could have been a different matter.”
The girl reported the incident to police who’re mentioned to be treating it as suspicious exercise. Now she is urging folks to be further vigilant after she was in a position to stroll away unhurt.
The native councllor has additionally raised consciousness of what occurred.
Councillor of Little Lever and Darcy Lever, Andrew Taylor-Burke mentioned a person in a white van stopped to ask the lady for the time.
She added that after insisting that he couldn’t hear her, the person asked the lady to step nearer to his van.
Cllr Taylor-Burke, was discussing avenue indicators with younger girl’s grandmother when the 24-year-old bumped into the home, shaken from the incident.
Cllr Taylor-Burke mentioned: “She was notably involved that this might have occurred to somebody youthful than her.
“She has reported the incident to the police.
“Greater Manchester police told the woman that they would get a patrol out.”
She added: “This was a complete shock. We do not often expertise these types of occasions in Darcy Leaver.
“It is quite worrying as we have a lot of young people in the area.”
Greater Manchester Police have been approached for remark.
