Anees Bazmee takes over from Priyadarshan as the director for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, sequel of the supernatural comedy starring Kartik Aaryan. Bazmee has a spate of hit comedies to his credit score. From Welcome and No Entry to Singh is Kinng… the director is aware of the best way to tickle your humorous bone. We requested Bazmee, if comedy was his favorite style as properly.
He informed Bombay Times, “I have made other genres like Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha (Ajay Devgn-Kajol, 1998) which was a love story or Deewangee (2002), which was a crime thriller but Meri pehchaan yeh hai ke main comedy films banata hu. And it’s inevitable. I have directed a few and written around 30-40 comedy films like Raja Babu, Deewana Mastana and Aankhen (1993). People still remember these films so your name tends to get synonymous with the genre. Comedy is my forte. I not only enjoy making but also watching comedy films. I personally feel it’s the need of the hour, given the grim times. It gives me a sense of deeper satisfaction that I could make someone laugh. It’s probably the most precious thing to achieve.”
