Himachal Pradesh: Rainfall causes damage to crops in Chamba | Shimla News – Times of India

As per the sources, a number of villages beneath Palyur, Kilod and Kunehar panchayats have been affected due to heavy rainfall.

SHIMLA: Incessant heavy rainfall and an incident of cloudburst at Tipra nullah beneath Palyur panchayat of Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh brought on intensive damage in the world on Tuesday.
Luckily, no loss of life was reported from the area.
At round 8am, the water stage of Tipra nullah out of the blue swelled.
Villagers stated that cloudburst was reported at Palodha village that brought on flood-like scenario in the decrease areas.
The same incident was additionally reported from Kunehar panchayat beneath Mehla growth block of the district due to which water entered many homes.
Several roads and standing crops had been broken in the world.
As per the sources, a number of villages beneath Palyur, Kilod and Kunehar panchayats have been affected due to heavy rainfall.
Vehicular motion on the Chamba-Bharmaur street resumed later in the night.
Additional deputy commissioner, Mukesh Repaswal stated that in a single day rainfall had raised water stage in three nullahs however scenario was beneath management.
He stated that incidents of cloudburst couldn’t be verified.
He stated that the evaluation of broken crops was being finished by the officers of agriculture division and their report was awaited.
